Andrew "Andy" B. Demers, resident of Santa Clara. Andy was born March 29, 1920 to Alcide J. Demers and Marie Flore (Racette) in Saint Johnsbury, VT. Andy entered heaven peacefully at home in Santa Clara, CA on April 18, 2011, age 91. He is survived by his daughter Andrea Bruna, sons Bernard, Maurice, and Marc Demers, brother Larry Demers, sisters Aline Demers, Theresa Chiasson, and Jeanne Brown, and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his wife Luella (Dauphin), brothers Robert, Julian, Luis, sisters Annette Dillon and Henrietta Gagnon. He served proudly in the U. S. Army with the 27 th and 97 th Infantry Divisions in the Asian Theater during WWII. Andy was passionate about bowling, ice hockey and baseball. Andy was a long time employee of Lockheed-Martin Corporation, Sunnyvale, CA. A skilled craftsmen and maker of Ole Fahlin aircraft propellers, in lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the; Wings of History Museum "Ole Fahlin Propeller Shop" 12777 Murphy Ave, San Martin, CA 95046 (408 683-2290). A memorial service will be held on April 30, 2011 at 11:00 AM, at Christ Child Catholic Church, 23230 Summit Rd., Los Gatos, CA.
