Barbara A. Emmons of Danville died at home Monday, May 26, 2008, at
the age of 80. She was born in West Danville June 2, 1927. Her father was
Earl C. Rodger, mother Mary Martha Ayer Rodger. After graduating from
UVM, Barbara met Clarence while employed at Beneficial Finance in St.
Johnsbury. They were married Sept. 14, 1954. She later worked part-time
as an assistant town clerk in Danville. Barbara is survived by her husband,
Clarence E. Emmons of Danville (PO Box 174, 05828); one daughter,
Diane Sugerman of Mi Wuk village, California; one older sister, Natalie
Capron of Springfield, Vt.; one older brother, Earl Rodger of Olympia,
Wash.; one younger sister, Marilyn Guy of New Jersey; many nieces,
nephews and their families. Memorial contributions may be directed to
Caledonia Home Health, P.O. Box 383, St. Johnsbury, VT 05819. Their
care allowed her to stay at home. There will be no services.
