Bernice (Remick) Perkins passed away at home very peacefully in her sleep Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2006, at the age of 83. She was the widow of Bernard K. Perkins, a former Sears employee, on Jan. 3, 2003. She was born in St. Johnsbury Center on Sept. 4, 1922, the fourth of eight children born to Carl and Mabelle (Miles) Remick. Her family was everything to her. She loved playing cards with them, going out to eat, chicken pie suppers. She was a real sports enthusiast especially when it came to the Red Sox, the Patriots, Tiger Woods, NASCAR and stockcar racing, and her "soaps." She had undergone dialysis treatments three times a week for the past six years. She is survived by three daughters, Lynda Morgan and her husband Michael of Waterford (165 Remick Rd. 05819), Roxanna Jones and her husband Douglas of St. Johnsbury (521 Sadie Roberts Rd. 05819), and Stacy Call and her husband Rodney of Waterford (205 Remick Rd. 05819); six grandchildren, Michael and Roxanne Lacaillade, Chad and Bonnie Lacaillade, Jennifer and Robert Stone, Michael Morgan, Jason Call, and Kaitlin Call; six great-grandchildren, Cailin, Eric, and Jacob Lacaillade, Tristan Lacaillade, and Elizabeth and Kyle Jones-Stone; stepgreat-grandchildren, Nathan, Derek, Brandon Stone and Natasha Jones; two brothers, Glenn Remick of Greenfield, Mass., and Eugene Remick and his wife Elizabeth of Danville; two sisters, Helen Moore and her husband Richard of Ballston Lake, N.Y., and Elinor Daigneault and her husband Lionel of St. Johnsbury; a brother-in-law, Wayne and Glenda Perkins; a sister-in-law, Ruth Perkins; and cousins, nieces and nephews She was predeceased by a son, Bernard Bruce Perkins, in 1967; two brothers, Raymond and Duane Remick; and a sister, Ruby Jones. Graveside services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Passumpsic Cemetery with friend, Mr. John Sleeper, officiating. There will be no visiting hours.
