TAYLOR: Claire C. , 73, of St. Johnsbury, died Thursday, Oct. 17, 2002,
at the Genesis Eldercare Center in Lebanon, N.H. Claire,
the daughter of Royden and Alice (Stebbins) Cheney, formerly of
Boston, Mass., Ryegate and Montpelier, was a 1946 graduate of
St. Johnsbury Academy, and graduated from Westminster Choir
College in Princeton, N.J. Claire was active in many church and
civic activities, including volunteer work at NVRH, and most
recently was choir and music director at Lower Waterford Church.
She spent several years working for Bruce Corrette and
Associates, and was active in the North Country Chorus. She is
survived by her son David of Long Valley, N.J.; her son Cris of
East Brady, Pa.; two daughters-in-law; and five grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held Tuesday, Oct. 22, at 10 a.m., at
Lower Waterford Church.
