Helen F. Barrett, 90, of Sutton, Vt. passed into the presence of her Lord, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, June 6, 2019. Helen was born and raised in Waterford, Vt. on April 26, 1929, one of eight children born to Frank and Lola (Kirkpatrick) Bullock. She attended St. Johnsbury Academy. Helen married Kenneth Howard Barrett and they shared 73 years together living most of their married life in Sutton. A devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, family was very important to Helen. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was still babysitting for grandchildren and great-grandchildren well into her later years. She had a sweet spirit and was always positive. Helen's walk with the Lord was very important to her. A very faithful woman, she was a member of the Union Baptist Church in Waterford for 64 years. Survivors include her husband: Kenneth Barrett of Sutton, VT; three sons: Stephen and wife, Annette, of Sutton, Mark and wife, Karla, of Sutton, and Douglas and wife, Linda, of Sutton; four daughters: Sandra Creapeault of East St. Johnsbury, VT, Sarah Keafer and husband, Dwight, of East St. Johnsbury, Dianna Simpson and husband, Timothy, of Sutton, and Virginia Butts and husband, Lawrence, of Newark, VT; a brother: David Bullock and wife, Gloria, of Marshville, NC; a sister: Irene Courser of Simsbury, CT; brother-in-law: Clinton Barrett of Elkton, MD; sister-in-law: Mabel Barrett of St. Johnsbury, VT; 21 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Helen was predeceased by her great-granddaughter: Prezlie Newland; her siblings: Fred Bullock, Lina Powers, Henry Bullock, Gwen Lorenzen, and George Bullock; a son-in-law: Robert Creapeault; her husband's siblings: Marion Stone, Margaret Smith, Katherine Hill, Ruth Friend, Betty Minshull, Audrey Blain, Louise Lundstrom, Herbert, William, and Clarence Barrett. A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, June 9, 2019, 5PM at the Union Baptist Church on Route 5 in Waterford, VT. Burial will be private at Riverside Cemetery in Waterford. Memorial donation can be made in Helen's name to Vermont Right to Life.
