George Clifton Bullock, age 86, of Lower Waterford Road, passed away peacefully in his sleep in the early morning June 4, 2019. George was born on February 4, 1933, in St. Johnsbury, VT, son to the late Frank Chandler and Lola Ellen (Kirkpatrick) Bullock. He grew up in Waterford and graduated from the St. Johnsbury Academy in the Class of 1951. George was a dairy farmer and a longtime member of the Union Baptist Church (over 55 years), and served in various ministries including Deacon. In the community he served on multiple organizations such as Yankee Farm Credit, ASCS and the DHIA. For over 60 years in various positions he acted as the Fire Warden in Waterford, as Lister, Selectman, Tree Warden, Planning Board Member and served on the Development Review Board. He loved the Town of Waterford and did his best to make it better. He is survived by his beloved wife of over 58 years, Linda Mae (Ingalls) of Waterford, 3 sons: Clifton Bullock and wife, Jane, of Waterford, Clayton Bullock and wife, Pam, of Waterford, Kevin Bullock and wife, Sharon, of Colebrook, NH, his daughter: Michele Crissman of Waterford, a brother: David Bullock and wife, Gloria, of Marshville, NC, 2 sisters: Helen Barrett and husband, Kenneth, of Sutton, VT, Irene Courser of Simsbury, CT, 5 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and a multitude of cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings: Fred Bullock, Lina Powers, Henry Bullock and Gwen Lorenzen. A Memorial Service will be held at 11AM Saturday, June 8, 2019, at the Union Baptist Church in Waterford with Rev. Paul Powers officiating. There will be no Calling Hours and burial will be private at the Riverside Cemetery in Waterford. Memorial donations may be made in George's name the Union Baptist Church, 932 US RT 5, Waterford, VT 05819.
