BERNIER: Paul E. Jr. , 70, of Terrace Road, Derby, passed away
suddenly at his home, Friday, Oct. 11, 2002. He was born in St.
Johnsbury, Feb. 1, 1932, the son of Paul E. Sr. and Bernadine
(Prevost) Bernier. Paul served in the U.S. Air Force and was a veteran
of the Korean War. He graduated from St. Johnsbury Academy and
attended St. Michael's College and the University of Vermont. He
moved to Derby in 1985. Paul enjoyed painting, reading, music and
the outdoors. He is survived by his brothers, Raymond R. Bernier of
Baltimore, Md., and John P. Bernier of Sudbury, Ontario, Canada; his
sister, Gabrielle Casey and husband Francis of Guilderland, N.Y.; and
16 nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother,
Roland G. Bernier. A graveside service will be held at the Mt. Calvary
Cemetery in St. Johnsbury in the spring of 2003. Should friends
desire, contributions in Paul's memory may be made to the charity of one's choice.
