Robert Earl Humphrey, of Winter Haven Florida, passed away on May 19, 2019, at the age of 82. Robert was born in St. Johnsbury, Vermont on Dec. 1, 1936 to the late Earl and Hazel Humphrey. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Virginia Humphrey, son James Humphrey, and daughter Debra Hollis, along with three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, four nephews and a sister-in-law Marion Humphrey. Robert was predeceased by his brother, Cedric Humphrey. Robert attended the St. Johnsbury Trade School until entering the Navy from 1955 to 1959. He worked at Caledonia Sand and Gravel and Purina Mills. After moving to Florida in 1972 he was a truck driver and had his own business before retiring. Robert was a gentle soul with a wonderful sense of humor. He cared deeply for family and friends and always had time for a visit. A graveside burial will be held at the Concord Village Cemetery on June 28 at 11 a.m. The Concord Community Church will preside over the burial. All who knew Robert are welcome.
