St. Johnsbury, VT: Arlo Charles Perkins of St. Johnsbury, VT passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2018, at Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital. Arlo was born in St. Johnsbury to Everett and Thelma (Hill) Perkins. He served six years in the Army doing 2 tours in Vietnam. Arlo is survived by his wife of 30 years, Vicki (Gray) Perkins of St. Johnsbury; his daughter: Kimberly Perkins and her partner, Alan Germanton, of Bath, PA; his daughter: Karen Carey (Elmer) of Lyndonville, VT; two grandchildren: Kyra and Landon Carey; his sisters: Patricia Perkins of St. Johnsbury, and Helen Touchette (Raymond) of Duxbury, VT; his brothers: Ralph Perkins (Lorraine), and Dennis Perkins (Carol) of St. Johnsbury; his brother-in-law and wife: George and Kathy Gray of Lunenburg, VT and their daughters and families. He was predeceased by his parents; sister: Thelma Baitz; and brothers: Everett and Marvin. He left behind his beloved dog, Shiloh, who loved to go fishing with him. He also left behind many friends, including a friend from childhood, Elwood Cohen; Craig Taylor, who he worked with at Weidmann; and Herbert Richardson, who he played many games of cribbage with. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 25, 2018, 2PM at Sayles Funeral Home, 525 Summer Street in St. Johnsbury, VT. Friends may call on the family beginning at 11AM until the hour of services. Donations in Arlo's name may be made to Kingdom Animal Shelter, PO Box 462, St. Johnsbury, VT 05819, or American Diabetes Association of Vermont.
