Patricia A. Barnes , age 67, passed away, Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2009, at
the Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital following a brief illness. Born
Aug. 17, 1942, in Newport to Andrew S. and Freda M. (Morrow)
Richardson, she grew up in Newport and St. Johnsbury, attending school in
the St. Johnsbury area. She married Raymond Barnes Aug. 15, 1966, in St.
Johnsbury; he predeceased her. She enjoyed spending time with her
grandchildren, her pets, and flowers. She also enjoyed cooking. She would
not let anyone go away hungry. Patricia is survived by her four children,
Raymond Barnes, Nyia Bean and fiancée, Brian Kittridge, Michael Barnes,
all of St. Johnsbury, and Dwayne Barnes and wife, Tiffany of Waterford; six
grandchildren, Tyler, Brittney, Alicia, Rufus IV, Derek, and Breanna; her
dogs, Chico and Pablo; and sister, Joyce Phelps of Burlington. She was
predeceased by a sister Janice. There will be no calling hours and services
will be held at the convenience of the family.
