Funeral service for CW3 (Retired) Wesley A. Moffett will be 12:30 P.M. Monday, November 27, 2017 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church with Rev. Timothy Wangerin, pastor officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home. CW3 (Retired) Wesley A. Moffett, age 70, of Lawton, passed away Monday, November 20, 2017 in Lawton. He was born December 17, 1946 in St. Johnsbury, Vermont to Arthur Wesley and Lauray (Collins) Moffett. He married Lora S. Schmall on October 22, 1976 in Lawton. Mr. Moffett, retired from the U.S. Army after twenty years of service. He spent his entire career with the Pershing Missile System. Following his retirement he worked for Martin Marietta for five years and also taught electronics at Great Plains Technology Center. He was an avid reader and a faithful member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Survivors include his wife, of the home, three children, Kori Lynn Hargraves, Lawton, Wendy Woods and her husband David, Anna, Texas and Dwight Moffett and his wife Abby, Fort Bragg, North Carolina, seven grandchildren, David Hargraves, Rebekah Slater, Scott Blair, Kathleen Moffett, Carter Moffett, Kensley Moffett and Cason Moffett, two great grandchildren, Preston Slater and Anakin Slater, brother, Wade Moffett, Maine and sister-in-law, Norma Schmall, Lawton. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Gail Moffett, his parents and a sister, Wealtha Collins McGurn. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 2105 N.W. 38th Street, Lawton, OK 73505.
