GEORGE: Lann Kolina Johnson Considine , passed away from cancer at Torrance Memorial Medical Center Monday, March 22, 2004, at the young age of 49. Born Oct. 29, 1954, Lann was a life-long resident of Vermont and moved to Lawndale, Calif., with her new husband in August 2003. She is survived by her husband, Bill George; her mother and stepfather, Sally and Bill Young; her daughters, Heidi and Brynna Considine; her new husband's daughter and son, Marjorie George and David George, and grandson, William George; her grandmother, Natalie Elliott; three brothers, Arne, Eric and Karl Johnson and their families; a sister, Laurie Aviles and her family; two stepsisters, Carol Stevens and Theresa James and their families; a stepbrother, Scott Young; beloved aunts, uncles and cousins; and her ex-husband, Joseph Considine and his family. Lann was a remarkable mother and wife, while being highly successful as an account manager at Logic/Printcafe/EFI. She also volunteered at David's House, a home for families whose children are stricken with cancer. Lann loved to run, cross country ski and bike, but her greatest joy came from being the mother of her daughters Heidi and Brynna. Everyone who met Lann was struck by her kindness and sweetness. She gave much more than she received. Her smile was the first thing you would see as it was always there and was there for everyone. The only possible reason God could have wanted her at such a young age, was because he needed someone to make Heaven even a brighter and a better place to be. Lann will be brought back home to Vermont. There will be a memorial service to celebrate her life Saturday, April 3, at 1 p.m., at the North Congregational Church in St. Johnsbury, Vt. Burial will be at a later date at the Massey Cemetery in North Danville, Vt. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the Lynne Cohen Foundation for Ovarian Cancer Research, in memory of Lann K. George, P.O. Box 7128, Santa Monica, CA 90406-7128. Lann, your loved ones left behind love you and miss you and will someday see you in Heaven.
