John Benjamin Goslant Jr., 43, of State Street, Groveton, N.H., died suddenly on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011, at his residence. Born in Woodsville, N.H., on Sept. 21, 1968, a son of John B. Goslant Sr. and Nancy L. (Foster) Goslant, he grew up in Barnet, Vt., and has lived in Groveton for the last 17 years to take care of his Uncle Fred. John graduated from St. Johnsbury Academy. He loved woodworking and had a shop in his apartment. One of John's favorite things to do was to play pranks on his family and friends. He was employed at Perras Lumber over the past several years. John is survived by his mother Nancy L. Goslant of Woodsville, N.H.; two sisters, Wendy Ruprechat of Bath, N.H., and Cindy Goslant of Woodsville; two brothers, Donald LeClair and wife Dawn of Bath, and Tim Goslant and wife Cindy of Woodsville, N.H.; 14 nieces and nephews and one great-nephew; and his special Uncle Fred Goslant of Groveton. He was predeceased by his father, John B. Goslant Sr., and his grandparents. There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held on Friday, Oct. 14, 2011, at 1 p.m. in the Peacham Cemetery on Town Road in Peacham, Vt. Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton is assisting the family with the arrangements.
