Callan M. Boardman, 34, of Lyndonville and St. Johnsbury, died on July 15, 2012, in Granby, Vt. Callan was born in St. Johnsbury on March 25, 1978, the son of Julie Boardman and Reginald Ainsworth. He attended schools in Barnet and graduated from the St. Johnsbury Academy. He attended the University of Vermont. Callan was employed by Gil's Construction in St. Johnsbury. Callan enjoyed traveling, music, fishing, hunting, collecting antiques and coins, history and archaeology. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Callan was a thoughtful, caring, sensitive person who will be greatly missed by those who loved him. Callan is survived by his mother, Julie Boardman of St. Johnsbury; his father, Reginald Ainsworth of Spain; grandmother Cleona Poole of St. Johnsbury; sister Aryn Holloway (Blaine) of Sutton; brother Brendan Boardman (Kate) of Passumpsic; uncles John Ainsworth (Kathy) of Kirby and Duane Ainsworth of Winooski; aunt Martina Kelleher (Kevin) of Burlington; nieces and nephews Brendan and Summer Boardman; Samantha and Riley Brown; Rose, Tyler, and Dallas Holloway; and very special nephew Devon Boardman. Callan was predeceased by his uncles Lance Boardman and James Boardman, and his aunt and her husband Bonnie and Michael Griffin. A memorial service will be held on Aug. 4, 2012 at 2 p.m. at the North Congregational Church in St. Johnsbury with the Rev. Jay Sprout officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in Callan's memory may be made to the charity of one's choice.
