Derek C. Mackay, of St. Johnsbury, age 21, died Monday evening, Sept. 15, 2008, as the result of an automobile accident in Lyndon. He was born in Littleton, Aug. 5, 1987, the son of Donna Robinson and Randy Mackay. Recently Derek had been working with his mother in the operation of B&B Septic Service. He loved four wheeling, hunting and fishing, and spending time with family and friends. He is survived his mother Donna Robinson and his sister Ashley Larrabee of St. Johnsbury; father Randy Mackay, Randy's wife Jacque-Lynn, and his sister Michele of Danville; maternal grandparents Kenneth and Beverly Robinson of St. Johnsbury; maternal great-grandmother Bertha Robinson also of St. Johnsbury; paternal grandmother Janice Bissell of St. Johnsbury; paternal grandfather Maitland Mackay and his wife, the Rev. Susan Mackay, of Lyndonville; cousins, aunts and uncles and their families. Funeral services will be held in St. Johnsbury Friday, Sept. 19, at 11 a.m., at the Union Baptist Church located on US Route 5 South. Pastor Paul Powers will officiate. Visiting hours will be held in Lyndonville on Thursday, from 5 to 7 p.m., at the Guibord Funeral Home located on the corner of Main and Center streets.
