CHASE: Roy Gordon, 91, of 434 Sheffield Road, Sutton, Vt., passed away Saturday, Dec. 13, 2003 at the St. Johnsbury Health and Rehabilitation Center in St. Johnsbury, Vt. He was born Dec. 6, 1912 in Hardwick, Vt., the son of the late Roland and Reta (Tupper) Chase. He graduated from Lyndon Institute, Class of 1932, and from Vermont Technical College, Class of 1937. He was a member of the West Burke Grange for 66 years. His mother\'s family started the Tupperware Company. He was a farmer and had raised over 10,000 turkeys and was also a retired employee of Vermont Tap and Die. He is survived by his wife, Shirley (Brundage) (Hood) Chase of Sutton; his stepchildren and their spouses, George and Marylou Hood Sr. of Lyndonville, Vt., Thomas and Esther Hood of Adams Center, N.Y., and Nancy and Jeffrey Norton of West Burke, Vt.; two nieces and their husbands, Carole and Mike Chassee of Sacramento, Calif., and Patricia and Richard Stryker of Carthage, Texas; a grandniece, Jessie; and a grandnephew, Richard. There will be no calling hours. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 17, at 11 a.m., at the Sutton Baptist Church with Tom Hood Jr. officiating. Burial will be in the Hillside Cemetery in West Burke in the spring of 2004. Those who wish may send contributions in his memory to the American Heart Association, in care of Vermont Affiliate, P.O.
