Ruth M. Miller, age 83, a Lyndonville resident, passed away
Wednesday, April 26, 2006, at the Northeastern Vermont
Regional Hospital. Born March 20, 1923, in Lyndon, she is the
daughter of the late J.J. and Ruby (Jones) Liggett. She
graduated from Lyndon Institute, Class of 1942. She married
Lloyd Miller; they later divorced. Ruth was a nurse's aide for
many years at the Darling Inn Nursing Home and for a time at
the Pines Health & Rehab. She volunteered many hours at the
Lyndon Historical Society and RSVP. She is survived by two
children, John Miller and his wife Louise and family of
Lyndonville, and Patricia Baker and family of South Wheelock;
two grandsons, Scott Baker of South Wheelock and Douglas
Miller of St. Johnsbury Center; four great-grandchildren. The
family requests memorial contributions be made in Ruth's name
to the Lyndon Dog Pound at P.O. Box 169, Lyndonville, VT 05851.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Pearsons
Funeral Home, located at 70 Church St., Lyndonville.
