Lyndonville, VT- Max D. Ingalls, 82, died Saturday, March 18,2017 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on June 24, 1934 in Sheffield, VT the son of Harold and Della (LaCross) Ingalls. He attended schools in South Wheelock and also Lyndon Institute. Max had worked for many years for his brother Wallace Ingalls Construction Company in Lyndonville, VT. He also had owned and operated his own auto repair shop in Lyndonville, as well as helping to run the family farm in his younger years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping trips to Maine and Alaska, snowmobile racing and horses. He especially loved spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of sixty-three years Ruth Ingalls; one daughter Ginger Noyes, Lyndonville and her friend Bill Stinehour of St. Johnsbury, VT.; one son, Brad Ingalls of Burke Hollow, VT; four grandchildren, Jessica and her husband Scott, David and his wife Jenn, Stacy, Jeff and his wife Angel; eight great-grandchildren, Hailey, Brooke, Tyler, Isabella, Bryon, Quinten, Brandon and Ally; two brothers, Gene and his wife Anita, Gayle and his wife Peggy, one sister, Joan Smith and her husband Duane. He was predeceased by his daughter Judy Corrow, two brothers Wallace and Freeman, sister Ruby O'Connor and son-in-law Rodger Noyes. Graveside funeral services will be held in the spring in the family plot in the Lyndon Center Cemetery. There are no calling hours. The family would like to thank Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital, Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon NH, Caledonia Home Health and Hospice, Lyndon Rescue and the Lyndonville Fire Department for all their help in our time of need. Your kindness will not be forgotten.
