STOWELL: Gloria Nancy, 65, of 1568 Brook Road, West Burke,
passed away at St. Johnsbury Health and Rehab Center,
Sunday, Nov. 10, 2003. She was born July 12, 1938, the
daughter of the late Harry and Katherine (Cord) Bean. She was
also predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Stowell, April 27, 1999;
and by her brother, Leonard Bean. She graduated from
Lyndon Institute, Class of 1956. She is survived by her three
children, Bruce Stowell of St. Johnsbury; Ralph Stowell and his
wife Helen of Derry, N.H., and Darlene Stowell of Boseawen,
N.H.; by her grandchildren, Amanda and Michael and four
others; by two brothers, Carlos Bean and his wife Betty of East
Burke, and Darwin Bean of Barre; by several brothers-in-law,
sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews; and by her many friends at
bingo and Avon. A celebration of her life will be held later this
fall. Burial will be in the Meeting House Cemetery in Burke
Hollow. Those who wish may send contributions in her memory
to the St. Jude Hospital Memorial Program, 501 St. Jude Place,
