Arthur Warren Peake, 64, of West Burke, passed away early Sunday morning, May 10, 2015, with family at his side. He was born in St. Johnsbury, Vt., on Oct. 12, 1950, the son of Warren Arthur and Louise (Williamson) Peake. He and Patti were married on Dec. 28, 1996. Art was dedicated to Lyndon State College where he worked for over 40 years, from snowplowing at all hours during the winter time to doing whatever needed to be done. He had been the college's maintenance foreman since 1991. He raised his garden and apples every year for the deer; Arthur did like to hunt, but not on his own property! How he loved his beagles! Patti and Arthur loved to kayak the area ponds. He is survived by his wife Patti; brother Edwin Peake and wife Betty of Lyndon, sister Nina Boulanger and husband Richard of Lyndon; several aunts and uncles; and his nieces and nephews Stephanie, Melissa, Joshua, Adam, and Krista; and his beloved beagle Abby. Friends and family will gather on the campus of Lyndon State College at the Alexander Twilight Theatre this Thursday morning, May 14, anytime between the hours of 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Memorial contributions, payable to and directed to "The Norris Cotton Cancer Center North," could be mailed to 1080 Hospital Dr., St. Johnsbury, VT 05819; or to either Kingdom Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 462, St. Johnsbury, VT 05819; SADSAC, c/o Caledonian Record, P.O. Box 8, St. Johnsbury, VT 05819; or to the animal cause of your choice.
