Patricia Mary Coffin, 61, of Coffin Road, St. Johnsbury, died at her home on Monday, July 23, 2012, after living with cancer for the past five years. Pat was born on Oct. 9, 1950, in Montpelier, Vt., to Erven and Delemora ( Brown) Griffith. She was a graduate of Lyndon Institute, class of 1968. For 24 years Pat worked for Citizens Savings Bank in St. Johnsbury and seven years for the Vermont Bank Service Corporation in Montpelier as an auditor. She has enjoyed feeding and watching birds, reading and gardening. She was predeceased by her parents, Erven and Delemora Griffith and by a brother, Harold Griffith. Pat is survived by her daughter, Melissa Coffin of Brattleboro, Vt.; a sister Rosalie Willson and friend David LaFond of Lyndonville, Vt.; three brothers, Leigh Griffith and partner Alice Lawson of Lyndonville, Michael Griffith and wife Deb of Sheffield, Vt., and Brian Griffith and wife Diane of Lyndonville; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her former husband, John Coffin of Peacham, Vt. Calling hours will be on Thursday, July 26 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Ricker Funeral Home, 1 Birch Street, Woodsville, N.H. A funeral service will be at the Chapel of the Holy Family, 1165 Darling Hill Road, Lyndonville, Vt., on Friday, July 27 at 11 a.m. with Rev. John Tremblay, officiating. Burial will follow in Lyndon Center Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Caledonia Home Health (Hospice Program) , 161 Sherman Dr., St. Johnsbury, VT 05819.
