Tim Allen Hodgdon of Bridport, Vt., died Dec. 28, 2016 at home after fighting a long battle of liver disease and then liver cancer. He was born in Newport, Vt. on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 25, 1954, to his parents, the late Gordon Roy Hodgdon and Roberta Irene Moore. Tim had a strong love for family. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years Kathleen Guy Hodgdon, four children, son Nicholas Hodgdon and partner Tiffany Roberts of Whiting, Vt., daughters Susan Hodgdon Walsh and partner Nathan Ouellette of Moriah N.Y. Barbara Hodgdon of Middlebury, Vt. And foster son Jesse Wing and wife Lindsey of Shoreham Vt. A brother Hale Hodgdon of North Carolina, sisters Rebecca Hodgdon of Rutland, Vt., Joyce Arnold and husband Gene of Texas. Five grandchildren Carson and Ayden Walsh, Mason Ouellette, Luke and Jake Wing. A special father-in-law Ronald Guy of Lyndonville, Vt. and mother-in-law Verneda Lindsay of Oklahoma. Four brothers-in-laws and three sisters-in-law. Sixteen nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a nephew Bernard Alexander of Massachusetts. Tim was "born" to be a mechanic, and was proud of his profession, all who knew him can attest to how much he loved cars. He served on the Bridport zoning board and loved his time leading the cub scouts in his earlier years. He loved the freedom and wild spirit of the old time Vermont; history of any kind was a passion of Tim's although never perusing it he was proud of the native blood coursing through his veins. Per Tim's wishes there will not be any services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Addison County Hospice.
