Anthony Wayne Leach 1955-2018 - Anthony was born in St. Johnsbury, Vt. on Dec. 6, 1955. He was the son of Delmer and Doris (Robinson) Leach. He was raised in Lyndonville and graduated from Lyndon Institute in 1974. He was currently residing in Osan, South Korea. After high school he was employed by Wheeler's Building Materials. He served in the Army from 1977 to 1997. He was a member of the 249th Engineer Battalion as a Power Station Operator (52E MOS) with deployments including Desert Storm and Desert Shield. After honorably retiring from the U.S. Army, he worked for GTE, General Dynamics and finally, Raytheon as a Systems Engineer, until the day of his passing. Tony was, first, a family man who sacrificed much with little regard for himself to ensure his family was cared for. He possessed an insatiable appetite to learn and had numerous hobbies including making wine, beer, ginger soda, sourdough bread, roasting coffee beans and looking for new hobbies. He was always quick with a joke and had a kindness that never left his eyes. Above all, he was a man of strong faith and lived his life by example. His family finds comfort in knowing he is with God, and they will be reunited with him one day. Survivors include his wife Ujin of 39 years, son Jonathan and wife Lauren, daughter Sarah and companion Alex. His mother, Doris Leach, sister Deborah Donaghy, brother Russell and wife Susan Leach, sister Donna Griffith, brother Harvey and wife Becky Leach and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his father Delmer Leach and brother Steven Leach. Services will be held in Korea and will be recorded for family members viewing.
