Diane S. Griffith, 59, of Partridge Lane and lifelong resident of Lyndonville, passed away suddenly on Saturday, October 24, 2 015. Diane was born in St. Johnsbury, VT, February 20, 1956, daughter to the late Sidney William and Barbara Hazel (Mitchell) Chamberlain. She was raised and educated in Lyndonville graduating from Lyndon Institute with the Class of 1974. She married Brian W. Griffith and have shared 35 years together. Her family was her life, raising 5+ children. She was genuinely interested and active in all the kid's events and affairs and still kept in touch with them daily. Diane's love certainly extended to her grandchildren and her friends. She was a member of the Lyndonville First Congregational Church, loved Christmas time and already had her shopping done for the season. Over the past twenty years she enjoyed camping out at the Caledonia County Fair overlooking the Midway. Diane was proud to be a cancer survivor. Diane is survived by her husband, Brian of Lyndonville, her 5 children and 5 grandchildren: Gregory A. Chamberlain and his daughter, Stella, of Lyndon, Joshua R. Griffith and his children: Adalia, Jacob, and Peyton of Lyndonville, Megan S. Augeri and husband, Seth, and their daughter: Isabella of Lyndonville, Nathan S. Griffith and companion, Kathy Berry, of Sheffield, Patricia R. Griffith of St. Johnsbury, and Jason Welch, a considered son. She is also survived by 2 sisters: Elaine C. Sargent and husband, Larry, of East Burke, Jane E. LaDue and husband, Ronald, of Hinesburg. She was predeceased by 3 siblings: Durward A. Chamberlain, Sidney W. Chamberlain, Jr, and Judith E. Freeto. Friends may call on the family for visitation from 6-8 PM on Wednesday evening. A Celebration of Diane's Life will be held at 1PM on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at the Lyndonville First Congregational Church in Lyndonville, with Rev. Barbara Dwyer officiating.
