Nerissa Rae Young, age 50, of Glenside Lane in North Concord, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully at her home early Friday morning August 26, 2016. Nerissa was born in St. Johnsbury, VT, on November 25, 1965, daughter to the late Evelyn (Deth) Greenwood and Raymond Donaldson. She married Scott E. Young on July 8, 1989, and have shared 31 years together making their home in N. Concord for the last 20 years having lived in both Lyndonville and St. Johnsbury. Nerissa was a kind and loving person, who was loved by everyone, especially her family. To her three children, who loved her dearly, she was an inspiration, a best friend and most of all a cherished mother. Nerissa was a hardworking and dedicated person who loved flowers, candles, coloring books, gardening and most of all music. Her favorite radio station was Magic 97.7 and she knew almost every word to every song. She welcomed everyone with open arms and an open heart. However, more than anything, she loved her children with all her heart. She is survived by her beloved husband, Scott, her three children: David S. Young of N. Concord, Ashley A. Young of Lyndonville, Abby M. Young of N. Concord., a brother and sister, her very special aunts: Johanna Donaldson and Sally Canning both of Lyndonville, VT, and several aunts, uncles, cousin, nieces and nephews. Friends may call on the family from 5-7PM Friday evening, September 9th at the Guibord Funeral Home, 15 Main Street in Lyndonville, VT. Funeral Services to celebrate Nerissa's life will be held at 11AM on Saturday, September 10, 2016, at the First Congregational Church of Lyndonville on Middle Street, with the Rev. Judi Horgan officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
