Michael Francis Brooks, pf Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed
away Friday, July 24, 2015. Michael was born Jan. 13, 1961, in
Lyndonville, Vermont.
He is survived by his father Francis Brooks; brothers Richard
and Dennis Brooks; sister-in-law Renee; and niece Tami.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Anna.
Michael graduated from Lyndon Institute in 1979, where he was
class president and a member of the honor society. After high
school Michael attended New Hampshire College and earned a
B.S. degree in accounting Cum Laude in 1982. He moved to
New Mexico in 1998 and worked as lead accountant at New
Mexico Student Loans until illness forced him to retire. Michael
formed his community's neighborhood watch program and
served as captain for three years and was actively involved with
his local police substation. He had a generous, kind heart and
was always willing to help when someone was in need. He will
be dearly missed.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Michael's name to
the Animal Humane Association.
