Vermont Northeast Kingdom Genealogy Query - Message Board THORNTON My family moved to Vermont from New Hampshire in the 1800's, they lived firstly in Wheelock and then Hardwick. The family name is Thornton. The line I am interested in decends from Samuel Thornton. My G Grandfather was John Clark Thornton. I have looked at all the cemetery sites and cannot locate any graves for any Thorntons in Vermont. Has anyone come across any info on any Thorntons in the Wheelock/ Hardwick area. John Thornton married Jennie Rowell from Albany Orleans, his siblings included Jabez P. , William, Benjamin F. Maria B (married a Niles) Josesph N. (married a Tatro). I know they are there somewhere!. My husband and I are planning a trip up to Vermont and would very much like to find the final resting place of some of these Thorntons.
