MANFANOVSKY: Betty B. (Ford) , 73, a St. Johnsbury native, of 12 Lundy Lane, Wayland, Mass., passed away suddenly Thursday, June 3, 2004. She was born in St. Johnsbury Sept. 11, 1930, the daughter of Wendell and Irene (Epps) Ford. She was predeceased by her younger sister, Colleen Ford. She graduated from St. Johnsbury Academy in 1948 and later from Lyndon State College. She continued to own the longtime Ford family home on Charles Street. She is survived by her dear husband, Serge, whom she married in 1958. They resided in Amsterdam, N.Y., for five years before settling in Wayland, Mass. Serge reflects that Betty was a person of high integrity, goals and achievements. An artist, she used her imagination in her painting and decorating. Betty loved life. All in all, she was a proud individual of high caliber. She will be dearly missed. Public graveside services will be held Wednesday, June 9, at 2 p.m., at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. There will be no visiting hours. Memorial contributions may be directed to Fairbanks Museum, 1302 Main St., St. Johnsbury, VT 05819.
