Claire C. Twiss of St. Johnsbury passed away Wednesday evening, April 7, 2010, at the age of 81. She was born in St. Johnsbury on Sept. 24, 1928, the daughter of Alcide and Marie Rose (Marois) Carreau. She is survived by her husband Jim of St. Johnsbury (85 School St. 05819); three children: Rachael Duquette and husband John of Danville, Peter Twiss of St. Johnsbury, Suzanne Goodhue and husband Jim of St. Johnsbury; three grandsons: Johnathon Duquette, Michael and Timothy Goodhue. She was predeceased by another grandson David Duquette in 2007. Also surviving are her sister, Lorette Desrochers of St. Johnsbury; her brother Robert Carreau and his wife Simone of St. Johnsbury; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother Paul Carreau and a sister Anita Warburton. The family will observe her services privately.
