LAFERRIERE: Pauline , 82, passed away peacefully Wednesday morning, Dec. 8, 2004, at Copley Hospital in Morrisville. She was born in St. Johnsbury on Jan. 6, 1922, the daughter of Alex and Marie (Gosselin) Berube. Pauline was married to Andrew Laferriere on Nov. 29, 1945. He predeceased her in December 1998. Pauline and Andy had resided in St. Johnsbury for most of their lives before moving to Morrisville in 1980. Pauline became an active member of the community, volunteering her time and energy to several groups. She was a communicant member and active in the parish life of Holy Cross Church and provided many hours of service to the Lamoille County Senior Center through the years. She is survived by four children, Mrs. Peter (Patricia) Couture of Hyde Park, Paul and his wife Sylvia of East Barnet, Mrs. Timothy (Lucille) McTigue of Barre, and Norman of Morrisville; a sister, Mrs. Priscilla Provost of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; and a brother, George Berube of Waterville; nine grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. Pauline was predeceased by a daughter, Rita Garfield, in 1973. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 10, in Holy Cross Church, Morrisville, with spring interment taking place in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in St. Johnsbury. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Pauline's memory would be appreciated to the Lamoille County Senior Citizens Center, P.O. Box 728, Morrisville, VT 05661.
