Katherine Alice Heath Mackay, 75, came to a peaceful rest at home in Lower Waterford, Vt., surrounded by her loving family on Oct. 3, 2014. Katherine was born on April 26, 1939, the first of four children to Ivan and Irene Heath. Kay graduated from Saint Johnsbury Academy in 1957, and spent her years after working as a billing clerk for the Caledonia Home Health Care Agency. Among many things Kay especially love to play golf in her free time. Kay was a selfless woman who wanted nothing more than to enjoy a happy life with her family. On Nov. 26, 1966, she married her love, William Mackay, of St. Johnsbury, Vt. Combined the two had five children: Stephen Craig Mackay and Judy Cornell, Jeffery William Mackay, Tamatha Sue Spicer and Robert Spicer, Gail and Gary Brooks, and Joyce and Rick Kline. She was preceded by her mother and father, her brother Eddie Heath, and sister Mary Jane Mendiola. She is survived by her sister Susan Heath, her husband, her five children, her nine grandchildren, her five great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
