LAWRENCE S. AMIDON, 61, of Fort Wayne,
died Saturday, May 31, 2008, at Hospice
Home. He was born on Oct. 11, 1946, in
Saint Johnsbury, Vt., the son of the late
Merton and Annetta Amidon. He retired from
the U.S. Air Force in 1989, after 23 years of
service. He has spent the past 19 years
working for ITT Corp. He is survived by his
wife, Rita C. Amidon of Fort Wayne; son,
John A. (Tina) Amidon of Fort Wayne;
grandchildren, Jordan, Kayla and Brooke;
brother, Frank Amidon of Goose Creek, S.C.;
and sister, Ruth Larose of Saint Johnsbury,
Vt. He was preceded in death by two
brothers; and one sister. Funeral service is 1 p.m.
Wednesday at Covington Memorial
Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, with
calling one hour prior. Calling also from 2 to 4
and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
