Roger D. Church Sr. of St. Johnsbury, passed away Jan. 12, 2009, at
Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, at the age of 59. He was born
in St. Johnsbury, Vt., on Oct. 4, 1950, the son of Robert and Caroline
(Fenoff) Church. Roger graduated from St. Johnsbury Trade School in
the Class of 1969; there he learned to be an auto body repair man
and mechanic, which kept him self-employed. Roger was an
honorable man who loved spending time with his family, especially
going yard saling with his sister Brenda. He liked to hunt, fish and
"make junk work." He was a very dedicated member of the St.
Johnsbury Moose Club and had many friends who loved and adored
him. He will be missed by many. Roger is survived by his daughter,
Autumn Church-Bursey and her husband Jeff of Stockbridge; a son,
Roger D. Church, Jr. of Georgia; his mother Caroline F. Church of St.
Johnsbury; two sisters, Brenda Cormier and husband Larry of
Danville; Judy Powell and husband Jack of Sheffield; three
grandchildren, Tyler Church-Morcombe, Gage Church-Bursey and
Cole Church; a sister in law, Sylvia Church; and many nieces and
nephews. He was predeceased by his father Robert Church in 1995,
and his brother David on May 6, 2009. Services will be held privately
at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions in
