Winston L. Adams, 73, of Rutland, died unexpectedly Wednesday, April 25, 2018, at his home. He was born in St. Johnsbury, April 10, 1945, the son of Winston and Connie ( Dwinell) Adams. Winston graduated from St. Johnsbury Trade School in 1963. On Sept. 4, 1965, he married Geraldine (Aiken) Adams. He was employed at Central Vermont Public Service Corp. for 30 years in survey, CAD, map design and right of way. In retirement, he started Win’s Trikes & Bikes in 1998 for 15 years. His greatest enjoyment was watching the grandchildren grow and attending all the games, concerts, talent shows, dance recitals and fashion shows. He was a lifetime member of GWRRA and the NRA. His hobbies include motorcycles, snowmobiling, racing and hunting. Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Geri, of Rutland; his daughter, Andrea Valente, of Rutland; three grandchildren Alea Valente, Lacey Valente and Jevan Valente, all of Rutland; his stepmother, Burnice Adams, and mother-in-law, Evelyn “Dot” Aiken; sisters Cindy Aldrich and husband Marty, Deb King and husband Armand, Pam Wood and husband Greg; brothers Brian Adams and wife Sandi, Doug Adams and wife Shirley, Mike Adams and wife Sandi, and Bruce Davis and wife Peggy; many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; a sister, Barbara Rose Sicely; and grandparents Ed and Maisie Dwinell and Mae and Glen Adams. At Win’s request, there are no funeral services planned.
