Bruce Charles Hale passed away unexpectedly at his home in Homasassa, Fla., at the age of 50. He was born on Oct. 10, 1961 in St. Johnsbury, Vt. He was the son of the late Richard Hale and Cynthia (Labounty) Hale. Bruce attended St Johnsbury Academy and the Phoenix Institute Of Technology studying mechanics. He worked at South Main Auto Body as a mechanic for quite some time. He lived in Waterford, Vt., with his family until he relocated to Florida seven years ago. Over the years Bruce enjoyed hunting with his brothers and attending races in Groveton and spending time camping, and many other outings and gatherings with his family. He also enjoyed his motorcyles. Bruce was also a huge Patriots fan. Bruce was predeceased by his father Richard, his brother Steven and his brother-in-law Gil Foley. He is survived by his mother Cynthia (Labounty) Hale, his step-father Dennis Clough of St Johnsbury, his companion of the last nine years Lynn Hartford, his two children Nathan Hale and companion Alanna White of Burlington, Vt., and Megan (Hale) Taylor and her husband Keith of Danville, Vt., and two grandchildren Jayden and Kyra also of Danville, Vt. He is also survived by three brothers, Rick and Dean Hale, both of St. Johnsbury, and John Hale of St Albans, Vt. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Services will be held on Saturday, Aug. 25 at the First Congregational Church in St Johnsbury Center, Vtv., at 11 a.m. Friends and family may come and pay their respects to the family at this time. Graveside services immediately following at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
