Diane (Switser) LaFleur - After a long year of battling with cancer, we will lay to rest our beloved wife, mother, sister, daughter, aunt, 'Nini' and friend. Diane was well known to be always working; she would keep herself busy; she never stayed still for a moment, always on the go. If she wasn't working, she was either making crafts, in the garden or camping with her family. She was one to be known to give a helping hand no matter what one would need. She thought of everyone else before herself, and did not like having attention brought on to her. Diane lived in St. Johnsbury most her life and made her home with her family on the Severance Hill Road. She worked for many years with close friends John Aja and Dawna Clifford at AJA Pizzeria. She was working at Maple Grove Farms before she became ill with cancer. She was predeceased by her mother Alma Switser; father Dean Switser, along with her grandmother Matilda Feller. Diane has left behind her husband, Kenneth LaFleur; her two daughters Monica Stowell and husband Scott of Lyndonville, Amanda Allen and boyfriend Justin Phelps of Danville; Ken's two sons, Josh LaFleur and wife Kelly of Sheffield, Jamie LaFleur and wife Aleena of Bridport; Nini's tribe of grandchildren: Dezera LaFleur, Wyette LaFleur, McKayla Stowell, Cameron Stowell, Domanic LaFleur and Destany LaFleur, and a new grand-baby on the way; her two brothers, Dean Switser Sr. and wife Lucille of Concord, and Reginald Switser and wife Barbara of Bakersfield; her step-mother Patricia Switser of Lyndonville; her step-sister Marsha Burrington and husband Michael of Sheffield; Ken's mother, Della LaFleur of Burke; Ken's two brothers, George Harris Jr. and wife Karen of White River Junction, and David "one eye!" LaFleur of Lyndonville; many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles; cousins; lots of friends. A celebration of her life will be held in Lyndonville Friday at 3:30 p.m. at the Tom Breslin Community Center on Main Street. Preceding that celebration of her life, a public graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. in Lyndon Center Cemetery, where she will be buried with her mother. Memorial contributions, made payable to Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital, could be directed to Norris Cotton Cancer Center North, attn. Jim Flynn, P.O. Box 905, St. Johnsbury, VT 05819.
