Sandra Mae (Fox) Carpenter , of Winooski, Vt., went to her eternal home on Tuesday, April 18, 2006, from the Vermont Respite House in Williston. She was born May 15, 1957, in St. Johnsbury, the daughter of Glendon and Agnes (Santaw) Fox. Sandra graduated from St. Johnsbury Academy and attended Lyndon State College. She served a year and a half mission in Los Angeles for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and continued to be active in her church. Sandra was a devoted wife and mother. She is survived by her husband of 14 years, Rene Carpenter; their children, Etienne, Elijah, Silas and Joy Carpenter of Winooski; stepchildren, Rene Carpenter Jr. and his wife Angela of Bristol, Jackie Wooten and her husband Mike of Waterville, Carol Johnson and her husband Tom of South Royalton, and Crystal Carpenter of Salt Lake City, Utah; her father, Glendon Fox and his wife Chrystal of Danville; her mother, Agnes Anderson and her husband Bacil of Enosburg Falls; her sisters, Norma Racine of Louisville, Ky., Nancy Newton and her husband Park of Georgia, Susan Tanner of Swanton, and Monica Burnor and her husband Kevin of Enosburg Falls; two grandmothers; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Visiting hours are scheduled for Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Elmwood Meunier Funeral Home, 97 Elmwood Ave., Burlington. The funeral will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 400 Swift St., South Burlington, followed by interment at the New Mount Calvary Cemetery on Plattsburg Avenue in Burlington. Contributions to a trust fund for Sandra's children would be welcomed. Checks payable to the Chittenden Bank (for Sandra Carpenter's Children's Fund), may be mailed to P.O.
