Thomas Morgan Sherman of Canterbury, Conn., formerly of Mystic, Conn., and St. Johnsbury, Vt., died Thursday March 7, 2013, at home with his loving wife Gina. He was born in Brattleboro, Vt., on Jan. 4, 1959, the youngest child of the late Joseph M. and Catherine C. Sherman. Tom enjoyed an active childhood in St. Johnsbury and cherished the many friendships and memories made there. Not long after graduating from St. Johnsbury Academy he moved to Mystic, Conn., where he met and lived with his wife Gina for many years. In 2007 they moved to their dream home in the country town of Canterbury, Conn. It was here that Tom rekindled his love of motorcycles and bought a Harley that he and Gina enjoyed riding whenever the weather was good. He also took up playing the drums again in recent years. A lifelong Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fan he enjoyed traveling to Foxboro for tailgating and the games. Tom is survived by his wife Gina Sherman of Canterbury, Conn.; a brother Crosby Sherman and wife Helen of Skillman, N.J.; a sister Jan Sherman and husband Wayne Berge of West Barnet, Vt.; nieces, Morgan Lamb and husband TJ of Auburn, N.H.; Kyle Berge of West Barnet, Vt., and Alexandra Sherman of Skillman, N.J.; grandnephew, Myles Lamb of Auburn, N.H.
