Nathan Delos Buck , 35, of St. Johnsbury, died late Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2006, as the result of a collision with a moose on Interstate 93 in Waterford. It was the eve of his 10th wedding anniversary. He was born in St. Johnsbury May 19, 1971, the son of Theodore and Cynthia (Hanson) Buck. His father passed away November of 1997. Nate's greatest love was his children. He spent countless hours playing video games with Jake, snuggling with Sydney, and was so proud of them in their schoolwork. He was impressed with Jakob's development and loved watching Sydney's dancing. He loved to play golf although his brother-in-law said he wasn't very good! He was an expert skier and taught in Colorado. Nate loved to go to work every day, greeting his clients, and being with Bob and Bill at Laconia Electric Supply in Littleton. He had fun every day and was full of life. He leaves behind his childhood sweetheart and wife of 10 years: Jennifer (Melen) Buck of St. Johnsbury (141 Winter St. 05819); she knew at 7 she was going to marry him and chased him unmercifully throughout grade school, high school and college. She finally caught and married him on Sept. 21, 1996. Besides Jennifer, he leaves his two children: daughter Sydney, his little princess, age 8, and his son Jakob, his little buddy, age 5; his mother and stepfather: Cynthia Buck and Mark Nurenberg of St. Johnsbury Center (P.O. Box 265 05863); his aunt and uncle: Brian and Joyce Hanson of Barton; his aunt: Cynthia Adams of Derby; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law. Brennon and Stephanie Melen and nephews Ethan and Evan of Danville; his sister-in-law: Michelle Abair and her husband Brian and nephews Chris and Camden of Hampstead, NC; his mother-in-law: Linda Vail of St. Johnsbury; his father-in-law and step-mother-in-law: Edward and Mary Melen of Burlington; his grandparents: Sidney and Ruth Nurenberg of Lyndonville; his best friend: Keith Vieria of St. Johnsbury; many wonderful friends and extended family. A celebration of his life will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Grace United Methodist Church. Visiting hours will be held at the Sayles Funeral Home Sunday evening from 5-8 p.m. A fund has been established for the benefit of his children. Memorial contributions could be directed to "Nathan Buck Memorial Fund," c/o Community National Bank, 857 Memorial Dr., St. Johnsbury VT 05819.
