The Church was organized July 14, 1787. In 1826, twelve members left to form a Baptist Church, eventually, six others followed.
The first House of Worship was created in 1802 and the present structure was erected in 1836.

BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH OF Rev. Stephen Fuller
Rev. Fuller was born in Mansfield, Tolland, Connecticut 3 Dec 1756. He graduated Dartmouth College in 1786 and studied Theology with Asa Burton, D. D., of Thetford. He was ordained pastor of this church 3 Sept 1788 and continued until his death. He died at the home of his brother, Dr. Fuller, 12 Apr 1816 in New Haven, Addison, Vermont at age 60. He was buried in Vershire, Orange, Vermont. He was a faithful pastor and a man of good talents. He was an earnest and impressive preacher, thoroughly orthodox in his faith and a deep thinker, with close reasoning. He aimed to preach a pure gospel in a most impressive manner, realizing his dependence upon God for his success. He made himself easily understood and people felt the force of his appeals. He labored in difficult times, but not in vain. He married Phebe Thurston of Hollis, Hillsborough, New Hampshire. She was a amiable woman, distinguished for her kindness and cheerful spirit. She mourned her husband for over forty years and died 29 Oct 1856 at age ni
