The earliest dated stone in this place is that of Mary , wife of Walter Benton, who died
in 1832 and the latest is that of Dorothy (Wooster) Corwith who died in 1979.  All of the
present gravestones are of marble and granite, and none in black slate. The name
Wooster Cemetery was later added after the Wooster family donated $4,000 for
perpetual care. The original name, Marshfield Village Cemetery, should be honored and maintained.
